5 More Days Until I am M-A-R-R-I-E-D!!

The countdown until the big day continues! There is only 5 more days until I am hitched. I just wanted to do a quick blog update, because people have been saying some pretty funny/sweet things and I have been having some amazing experiences- all of which that I would love to remember.

The first cute thing I wanted to write down was something my dad said. A couple of nights ago as I was gettting home late after being with Trevor, I went into my parents' room and started talking to them about the wedding. I was telling them how excited I was for the wedding and the engagement to JUST BE OVER! My dad very calmly looked at me and said, "Liz, I went into my wedding day thinking that it was no big deal- just another day. However, that day (almost crying now) was the best day of my life and I hope yours with Trevor becomes yours." It was just really sweet, and I just wanted to write it down before I forgot it. My parents are wonderful (even though I can be rather difficult). It's definitely no coindence that I ended up with them as parents!
The second quote that needs documentation is one from Trevor. Trevor and I were driving someplace in the car talking about other women. For some reason or another we were talking about other beautiful women, and of course Trevor began his "I only have eyes for you" talk and said, "Liz, as soon as I put that ring on your finger it was as if something absolutely magical happened and ALL women, every last one of them, became N-A-S-T-Y!" I know I am not the best at describing how cute the moment really was, but I can assure you it was a really sweet comment and I would always like to remember it.

Well, I also just wanted to write about the my surprise party from work, because it was pretty hilarious. Last Friday, I was running a couple of minutes late to work. When I got out of the elevator, Harvey (the director of HR- the department I work for) was sitting behind the receptionist desk in my chair. He solemnly looked up at me and said, "Jen (that's my supervisor) needs to speak with you in the conference room." I proceeded to the conference room, and those ten steps very well may have been some of the heaviest steps I have ever taken! The only thought running through my mind was, "Crap! It's Friday! Everyone always gets fired on FRIDAY!" As I was walking into the conference room, every woman in the office yelled surprise. I have never had a surprise party before, and I just loved it! Although, Harvey directing me to the conference room was a little cruel! Getting fired one week before your wedding would be just awful, especially for
Trevor and I since we aren't exactly financially stable (or even close) yet!
Lastly, I just wanted to briefly describe my feeling from getting my endowments last Saturday. Being able to go to the temple was wonderful and overwhelming at the same time. However, there was one moment when I looked over at Trevor and felt the most overpowering love for him and excitement to begin a life/ family with him. Also, I am very grateful I was able to have my mother-in-law as an escort. It definitely wouldn't have been as sweet as an experience if she wasn't there. It was amazing experience- frightening, but amazing.
